There are lots of ways in which we can reduce the cost of entertainment during the holidays. Sometimes it is much more fun, by just being together in one place, by being present and being creative with what we have.
I have tried a week without paying for any activities and I have come to the realisation that summer holidays can also be a time for children to learn news skills from their parents, life skills which they are not often taught in school. Depending on the age of the child some of these activities can include car wash, cookery, decorating, community support (charity shops, care homes, parks etc.), How ever mad this may sound to some of us, some of these activities can encourage children to stay off their screens and learn how to balance work and play.
Right! Sign up here and tell how children in other parts of the world spend their summer holidays.
